Grandparents!
This week the topic of this blog post is Grandparents! I've always thought that there are two types of grandparents- the more common one is the sweet, gentle, loving grandparents the other is the ugly, nasty grandparents that you read about in books. Luckily both sets of my grandparents are the nice ones (phew). Although my grandma on my dads side can get a bit grumpy about the world from time to time ,my dad sometimes calls her "mumble grumble", behind her back (shhhh!). But anyway on with some of the memories that I've shared with my Grandparents.
One of my favorite memories with my grandparents ( on my mums side) is that we were on holiday in Ireland and we decided to go stay at this nice hotel by the beach with my grandparents. We were walking along the beach and every once in a while there were these little river things that you had to jump over. I jumped, my mum jumped and my sister and my granny crossed, then we heard a thump and looked behind us. There was my grandpa sitting in the little river. He jumped but slipped and fell on his bum. We all started cracking up with laughter. After we had helped him up we all got Mr Whippy sherbet ice creams at the end of beach.
My grandma on my dads side is Granny T ( we call her Granny T because the T stands for Tulloch). Unfortunately my dads dad passed away before I was born so I never got to meet him but I have had many fun times with my Granny T. One of my favorites is when she came up to Wellington while her house in Christchurch was getting refurbished. We did lots of fun things like going to Te Papa and sitting on the waterfront on Fridays eating fish and chips. We had a really good time and were sad to see her go back to Christchurch.
So I guess thats it for this weeks post about Grandparents! My grandparents are certainly very interesting, I hope yours are too! Thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed it. :)
